Another Week Already Gone

Wow it's already the end of week one term two. My committee has given up one of our events to the Student Council so that's one less thing to organise! And Chamber is going so well. We played our new piece to the teacher on Thursday morning and he was rather pleasant about it. I thnk we've progressed a lot and I'm really happy with my group members.

Thursday lunchtime was orchestra but the turn out was abismal to say the least. I guess that's what happens after you've changed the day. I did manage to convince Yi Lein to play violin for orchestra, though it wasn't an easy task! It took over two hours I think...but she agreed to try so thanks :)
Speaking of which, both Yi Lein and Tamaki are at their DOE expedition this weekend. And today is Tamaki's 15th birthday! Happy Birthday to you! Though you are in the Waitakere's...somewhere with no reception...surrounded by bush... But I hope you two have a good time ^^ and I hope it doesn't rain tonight...like it did last night.

Friday...Well we had string at formtime/recess which was good. Mr Seagar got us through the vivace and presto (at double time!) and we started the first movement which looks a bit more difficult to put together. I'm sure we'll do alright though, when Tracey remembers to take her cello home to practice maybe! :p

Lunch...I spoke to Ms Hatch about some stuff concerning Orange Week which is the last two weeks of this term for those who want to know. And I myself did practice cello and flute in my non-contact, period 4.

Afterschool, Jazz and I went to Newmarket for our meeting about the dance. We realised that we were basically back to square one. Which is a bit frustrating, but we're continuing to sort out details and might make it a very small event - just so that we do something and try.
The group as a whole though, is pretty easily distracted, me included. We skipped back and forth from the topic to organisational tactics, cell phones, to badges, prefectship etc. I do hope we get somewhere though.

Today has been an average Saturday...Particularly lazy because I have done no homework or music practice ^^" Just housework and brought some classical CD's which Tamaki has gotten me into again haha.

While on the subject, Tamaki and I have been in contact quite a lot this week and the previous in the holidays. We text a lot and have rather interseting discussions. She's quite the passionate musician which is refreshing to see, and it's someone who is so young. Quite the talented student in many aspects of school life that one is. And she's the only one in her 6TH FORM algebra class to pass their most recent UNIT STANDARD test. That's so awesome for her, shocking for the reputation of the 6th formers, none of whom I am friends with. Tsk tsk.

That is about it for now. What I can think of at any rate. I guess I shall do some homework and practice. Have a nice weekend everyone!
